Knitted Bible Stories

We were invited to Uppermill Methodist Church to see the wonderful knitted Bible stories which had been created by and travelled from a church in the North East.

Volunteers from the church explained the stories and then Rachel told us a story about God being all around us.

We then used craft materials to create lots of different representations of the stories we had heard in church.

We had a fantastic time!

Outdoor Maths.

This week, we have been outside enjoying the lovely weather and practising our Maths measuring skills!

After measuring lots of things in the classroom with rulers, metre sticks, tape measures and string, we took our learning (and the trundle wheels!) outside to measure the playground and netball court.

We first estimated then measured the length and the width.  We then used our accurate measurements to work out the perimeter.  Some of our estimates were really close!
